TERMS OF SERVICE

OVERVIEW This website is operated by Mountwest Building Supplies Ltd. Throughout the site, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Mountwest Building Supplies.

SECTION 1 - PRODUCT COMPATIBILITY & MEASUREMENTS (CRITICAL) We sell specialized glass panels designed to fit specific industry-standard railing systems (e.g., Regal Ideas, Vista Railings). However, we are an independent third-party supplier and are not directly affiliated with these manufacturers.

1.1 Measurement Responsibility: You, the customer, are solely responsible for verifying that the glass dimensions listed on our website match your railing requirements.

  • Regal Ideas Systems: Require 35 ⅞" height glass.

  • Vista Railing Systems: Require 36" height glass.

  • Other Systems: If you are using a different system (e.g., Century, Peak, Trex), our glass may not fit. Mount West Building Supplies is not liable for costs associated with ordering the wrong size, including return freight and restocking fees.

SECTION 2 - SHIPPING & DELIVERY 2.1 LTL Freight (Curbside Delivery): All glass orders are shipped via LTL (Less-Than-Truckload) freight on a pallet/crate.

  • Curbside Only: The driver will lower the pallet to the curb or driveway. They will not move the crate into your garage, backyard, or house.

  • Presence Required: You must be physically present to sign for the delivery.

2.2 Inspection & Damages: It is the customer’s responsibility to inspect the shipment upon arrival.

  • Any visible damage to the crate or sound of broken glass must be noted on the Proof of Delivery (Waybill) before the driver leaves.

  • Failure to note damage on the driver’s paperwork constitutes acceptance of the shipment in "Good Condition," and subsequent damage claims will be denied.

SECTION 3 - RETURNS & REFUNDS Returns are subject to our Refund Policy. Please note:

  • Returns for "change of mind" or "wrong size" are subject to a 25% restocking fee.

  • The customer is responsible for the cost of return LTL shipping to our warehouse in Surrey, BC.

  • Original shipping charges are non-refundable.

SECTION 4 - LIMITATION OF LIABILITY Mount West Building Supplies shall not be liable for any injury, loss, claim, or direct/indirect damages arising from your use of our products. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Glass breakage during installation.

  • Injury caused by improper handling of tempered glass.

  • Structural failure due to improper installation of the railing system. You agree that the installation of glass panels should be performed by a qualified contractor or capable DIYer in accordance with local building codes (e.g., National Building Code of Canada).

SECTION 5 - GOVERNING LAW These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of British Columbia, Canada.

SECTION 6 - ERRORS AND INACCURACIES Occasionally there may be information on our site that contains typographical errors, inaccuracies, or omissions that may relate to product descriptions, pricing, promotions, and availability. We reserve the right to correct any errors and to change or update information or cancel orders if any information is inaccurate at any time without prior notice.
