Framed / channel glass railing

The glass sits in an aluminum base channel or between posts, often with a top rail. It uses thinner (typically 6mm) tempered glass, installs quickly, and is the more budget-friendly option. The aluminum frame does the structural work, so it's forgiving to install and easy to make code-compliant.

Frameless / spigot glass railing

The glass is anchored by stainless steel spigots at the base - no top rail, no posts - for a nearly invisible, high-end look. It uses thicker 12mm tempered glass and premium hardware, so it costs more, but the unobstructed sightline is hard to beat on modern decks and balconies.
